WASP Clay Kit WU-7029
WASP launch a new professional CLay Kit with clay extruder, LDM WASP Extruder 3.0 for fluid-dense and ceramic materials.
The new WASP Clay Kit includes a 3 litre Tank. The preceding needle experimental models did not allow middle size printing because of the limited amount of mixture they could contain. The tank can be refilled or cleaned simply by opening the caps located at the extremes. Inside, there is a piston with two 4 bar gaskets which pushes the material through the teflon pipe (diameter 12 mm) which supplies the extruder. The cap located on the back has a safety valve set at 8 bar.
This technology allows the air to outflow upward , eliminating the probability of finding bubbles inside the mixture. Like for a common pressure extruder, if there were bubbles the flow would be interrupted and the print would be damaged. Furthermore, thanks to the screw, the density of the printing materials is higher. This allows to reduce the time for their change of state, from liquid to solid, thus eliminating the risk of collapse of the printed object. In case the screw or the chamber were damaged they can be easily substituted.
LDM WASP Extruder
LDM (liquid deposit modeling) is the name of the new WASP Extruder 3.0 for ceramic materials that can be adapted to most of the 3D printers on the market.
WASP’s work has always been focused on the development of systems that allow the use of functional materials like ceramics, porcelain, clay, alumine, zirconium and advanced ceramics, in order to promote digital handicraft and self-production. By launching this new product the group aims to promote the print of fluid-dense materials and advanced ceramics in the world.
In two years of time and after experimenting all the possible combinations of pressure, nozzles and materials WASP has created a model of extruder which is able to interrupt and restart the extrusion flow.
LDM Wasp Extruder 3.0 is a professional clay extruder for the deposition of dense fluid material as clay mixture and experimental materials. It is equipped with a screw system capable of regulating the output flow of the material, allowing a rapid flow interruction and a good retraction control.
The extruder for fluid-dense materials, easily combinable with all WASP 3D printers. Ideal for clay, ceramic, porcelain, allumina, zirconia and advanced ceramics. Developed to support digital craftsmanship and self productions.
Adaptability to other machines
WASP Clay Kit was created to be installed on WASP printers, but can be adapted to most of the existing machines.
It is very easy to install WASP LDM Extruder 3.0 on other machines. Firstly, it is necessary to print the supporting cover (the source files are provided by WASP). Secondly, the extruder must be linked to the wire and the “number of steps per millimeter” must be set to 400. This configurations are provided by the most common slicing softwares, like Slic3r or Cura.
Technical Informations
WASP Clay Kit 2.0 includes aluminium 3 l. Tank, porcelain and LDM WASP Extruder 3.0. Compressor is not included. It’s possible to connect any compressor with at least 8 bar pressure value.
The pipe which connects the 3D printer to the air compressor is not supplied by WASP.
A useful tip: It’s a nylon pipe and it’s a tool generally supplied by the air compressor supplier. If you don’t have it you can buy it from any hardware store of the length you need, ask for an 8 mm (external dimension) nylon pipe.

As soon as your order is placed, you will receive an order confirmation e-mail. This confirms your order has been received in our system and your credit card is authorized for purchase. As soon as we receive your order, we begin processing to confirm that it is in stock and available for immediate shipment. If your item is on backorder or unavailable, we will reach out to you via e-mail to confirm if you'd like to keep your order or cancel for a full refund. If your item(s) are available for immediate shipment, we will process the charges and submit the order for shipment.

Some models are custom made, and can take as long as 4-5 weeks to ship depending on the model and series. Please contact customer service before ordering if delivery time is a concern of yours.

Large items that ship via freight (not UPS or Fedex) require a signature upon delivery. You will receive a call from the shipping company to arrange a time and day for delivery that works for you.
PRODUCT QUALITY GUARANTEE
Please inspect the packaging of your item(s) when they arrive, if you notice any damage you should REFUSE the package, and make note of it on the delivery receipt. If your item(s) do arrived damaged, please contact us immediately and send photos to info@machineshark.com . We will process an insurance claim on your behalf and happily work with you to resolve the issue and refund or replace your order.
CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
Generally, most of the items we carry can be returned within 30 days of receipt in new condition and unopened.
Returned products must be sent back with their original packaging and have all of the parts and components that they came with. Please contact the manufacturer for any warranty issues.
Please document (photograph) any damages upon receiving the item and report these damages to the delivery carrier if product was sent by LTL or freight (not by UPS, Fedex, USPS, etc).
Some items may be subject to a 15% restocking fee. Customer is responsible for return shipping and original shipping cost, even if the item was "free shipping". Any damages to products may void the return.
Returns must be accompanied with an RMA number. Please contact us in order to have one generated.
