Proton PDS-75 HDD Destroyer/Crusher
The PDS-75 Drive Destroyer is made to quickly and securely destroy hard drives. Specifically designed for emergency situations where electric power may not be available and quick destruction is a must, the PDS-75’s affordability and versatility makes it perfect for both the government and commercial market. With additional options available, it can be customized to any location and application. Using a degausser is the best way to ensure all data on hard drives and storage tapes is completely unrecoverable. The PDS-75 is a great accompaniment to a Proton degausser!
The PDS-75 is an NSA listed hard drive crusher that is designed to destroy hard drives in 8 seconds or less (dependent on operator). The manual PDS-75 is not only manually driven, but it is also simple to use. Just insert the hard drive into the safety slot. Then use the handle to crush the hard drive. During this process the hard drive is bent approximately 90 degrees, which breaks the platters and damages the heads, motor and circuit board. After the process has finished, the hard drive will be ejected into the front debris drawer. The PDS series exudes versatility with low maintenance and easy operation.
NOTE: To comply with recognized standards, including NSA/DoD regulations, a degausser must be used prior to destroying hard drives. In a typical national security operation, a destroyer is used in conjunction with a NSA approved degausser. Using a degausser is the only way to guarantee all data on hard drives and other magnetic media is completely unrecoverable. - Rear Output Slide: Hard drives are typically removed from the front of the unit, but this option allows for the ejection of the hard drives out the back of the unit. This enables hard drives to be discharged into a disposal bin or container and requires less operator handling.
- Rackmountable Slide-out Shelf: For mounting in standard 19″ EIA racks. This option allows the user to conveniently stow the destroyer when not in use and pull it out when needed, saving all too valuable table-top space. This option includes the Mount Kit.

Deguassers: All Proton degaussers come with a one-year parts and labor warranty.
Destroyers: The PDS-75 and PDS-100 come with an 18-month parts and labor warranty, or 7,000 cycles, whichever comes first. Both the PDS-75 and PDS-100 include a lifetime warranty on the blade/bender.
Shredders: The PDS-88 SSD Shredder includes a one-year parts, 90-days labor warranty. The 104 and 105 Multimedia Shredders include two-year parts, 90-day labor warranty.
Extended Warranties are available for those units that list the option above. Prices may vary at time of purchase. If a warranty repair is required the customer is obligated to attempt repairs with the help of a factory trained technical assistant via email or phone. If repair in the field is deemed not possible by the technician then all warranty repairs are done at the factory or authorized repair facility. For warranty repairs within the first 90 days, Proton is responsible for all shipping charges both to and from the factory or authorized repair facility. Thereafter, under the 1-year factory warranty the customer is responsible for all shipping charges “to” the factory or authorized repair facility. Proton will be responsible for shipping cost to return the repaired unit to the customer’s site anywhere within the contiguous U.S. Under extended warranties or for customers outside of the U.S., the customer is responsible for all shipping charges both to and from the Proton factory or authorized service center. Before sending a unit for repair the customer must obtain an RMA number and must use the original or approved packaging to avoid voiding the warranty. Proton offers a repair and return service to support products not covered under standard or extended warranties. Quotes are given prior to repairs being completed.
As soon as your order is placed, you will receive an order confirmation e-mail. This confirms your order has been received in our system and your credit card is authorized for purchase. As soon as we receive your order, we begin processing to confirm that it is in stock and available for immediate shipment. If your item is on backorder or unavailable, we will reach out to you via e-mail to confirm if you'd like to keep your order or cancel for a full refund. If your item(s) are available for immediate shipment, we will process the charges and submit the order for shipment.

Some models are custom made, and can take as long as 4-5 weeks to ship depending on the model and series. Please contact customer service before ordering if delivery time is a concern of yours.

Large items that ship via freight (not UPS or Fedex) require a signature upon delivery. You will receive a call from the shipping company to arrange a time and day for delivery that works for you.
PRODUCT QUALITY GUARANTEE
Please inspect the packaging of your item(s) when they arrive, if you notice any damage you should REFUSE the package, and make note of it on the delivery receipt. If your item(s) do arrived damaged, please contact us immediately and send photos to email@example.com . We will process an insurance claim on your behalf and happily work with you to resolve the issue and refund or replace your order.
CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
Generally, most of the items we carry can be returned within 30 days of receipt in new condition and unopened.
Returned products must be sent back with their original packaging and have all of the parts and components that they came with. Please contact the manufacturer for any warranty issues.
Please document (photograph) any damages upon receiving the item and report these damages to the delivery carrier if product was sent by LTL or freight (not by UPS, Fedex, USPS, etc).
Some items may be subject to a 15% restocking fee. Customer is responsible for return shipping and original shipping cost, even if the item was "free shipping". Any damages to products may void the return.
Returns must be accompanied with an RMA number. Please contact us in order to have one generated.

As stated in the Product Quality Guarantee, any item that arrives in less than perfect condition or missing parts will be handled at no extra cost. Refunds will be issued to the original credit card that you use when placing your order.
